Roll Call: Riding Centre Hout Bay

Programme Notes: CTMT 2007

13-kwagga-quadrille-5“The Riding Centre, a group of 10 horsewomen from the general Hout Bay area, was formed three years ago when two of its members were on holiday in England and saw an act which inspired them to form their own. They recruited other members and began evolving their unusual act – which included the inspiration of painting their horses in a zebra colour scheme – in between all the other activities in their busy daily round of domestic and work activities.” (CTMT 2007)

They recruited other members and began evolving their unusual act in between all the other activities in their daily programme of raising children or working at various occupations, or both. Last year, they painted their horses in quagga stripes; this year they have gone medieval for something completely different.” (CTMT 2008)
